Coaches Wanted For 2015 Season and Learn to Row Sessions

WRRA is looking for coaches for its Learn-to-Row (LTR), Summer Rowing League (SRL), Rec and Sculling programs. If you've coached in the past, we'd love to have you back. If you know someone that you think would be a good coach (rower, student, coach with another program, etc.), we'd gladly take referrals. We're looking for coaches for both SRL and Rec programs which begin in mid-May, as well as those who can help out with the Learn To Row sessions during the month of April. Come help a team improve, earn a little cash, and have some fun on the river this summer!

Complete details, including job descriptions and 2015 pay schedule can be found in the Members section of the WRRA website: http://westernreserverowing.com/members1/employment/.

If interested, please complete this application, or if you have any questions, contact Jennifer Prugh, WRRA Director - Coaching at coaching@westernreserverowing.com

Rowing SQL & CQL Recertification Meetings

safetymanualicon.jpg

I know you're dying to attend your safety level re-certifications. Wait no longer!

Same rules; different year. To maintain your safety status you must attend one of the below Safety Review Meetings. Meetings will be less than an hour and will be held in the boathouse conference room on the below dates. Please note that there will not be a Review Meeting on the day of the Bow Ball.

The review class is in lieu of having to re-take the test for your safety qualification status, so it's an easy and small time investment. Failure to attend a safety review will result in suspension of your safety status, and you'll have to re-take the test.

For those who are outside the Greater Cleveland area (e.g. at college, out of the state/country for business, trapped somewhere) other reviews will be offered later in the spring upon proof of your absence from Greater Cleveland for each of the below dates.

I realize the first couple class are on rather short notice, but a couple additional sessions have been added this year to ensure everyone has plenty of opportunities to attend.

Saturday, February 21 at 10am.
Sunday, February 22 at 10am.
Wednesday, February 25 at 7pm.
[NOT Saturday, February 28 due to Bow Ball prep]
Sunday, March 1 at 10am.
Tuesday, March 3 at 7pm.
Saturday, March 7 at 10am.
Sunday, March 8 at 10am.

Please inform all participants in your organization who hold an SQL or CQL rating (there's a list available here: http://www.clevelandrows.org/safety-documents/ that they must attend one of these review sessions.
