Recreational Rowing Program

For Experienced Rowers

Program Description

Recreational Rowing offers coached rowing with an emphasis on technique and time to enjoy being outdoors on the river. This program is ideal for those who just want to get out on the river and row, with some coaching, lower stroke ratings and less emphasis on racing.

This 15-week rowing program includes two (2), 90-minute coached on-the-water practices per week. Participants will row in 4-person and 8-person shells. The program is open to all experienced rowers who have completed a minimum of two previous WRRA rowing league sessions (such as summer and fall), or previous the Recreational rowing program experience.

Enrollment is limited to ensure close personal attention by the coaching staff. The cost does include coxswain fees.  Recreational crews will also have the opportunity to race, if desired, in select out-of-town regattas during the summer. Please refer to the Recreational Rowing Program Guidelines for more specific information.
