Cleveland's Premier Adult Rowing Club

Learn to Scull

For Experienced Rowers

Learn to Scull is a 6-session program designed to introduce current WRRA members, with a minimum of one-year WRRA prior rowing experience, to the pleasures of rowing in small boats.  Participants will learn boat and oar handling techniques in a stable "trainer" and then progress to a Peinert rowing shell as comfort level and skill increase.

Led by the WRRA coaching staff, participants in Learn to Scull will meet in small group sessions and one-on-one 90 minute sessions at a time that is arranged between coach and sculler. One or two participants may register per coach in each 6-session program, ensuring the highest level of coaching instructions.  Scullers must provide their own hat mirrors and whistles for all sessions.

All sessions must be completed by the end of the 2017 season.

Participants who would like to continue to scull after the Learn to Scull program must register for the WRRA General Sculling program.

Program Cost

$240 – rowers must be full WRRA members, having paid the 2017 membership fee & annual (or current seasonal) facility assessment.

Note:  Sales tax (8%) along with a convenience fee of $1.25 will be added to each transaction. Other registration service provider fees are included in the program cost.
