Cleveland's Premier Adult Rowing Club

Learn to Row (LTR)

Program Description

Learn to Row is a half day instructional session which introduces new rowers to the sport of rowing on the Cuyahoga River. LTR is an opportunity for adults (18 and older) to experience the sport of rowing and determine interest in joining Cleveland’s rowing community through WRRA’s Summer Rowing League. WRRA instructors will teach the basics of the sport of rowing, special safety considerations on the Cuyahoga, rowing terminology, and boat handling. Participants will receive instruction on basic rowing technique using a stationary rowing machine (erg), and on-the- water practice, rowing as a crew of eight.

Two sessions will be offered each day.
