Program Description

The 12-week Summer Rowing League (SRL) program is designed for rowers of all abilities who wish to row once a week. During the 90-minute coached practice sessions, rowers will develop boat handling skills and rowing technique.

Rowers work together as a team in an eight-person shell. Teams have a mix of male and female rowers, rowers can also request to be placed on an all female or all male team but will be dependent on availability.

The SRL fee includes all equipment and coaching during the season. Experienced crews who choose to use a dedicated coxswain will be responsible for compensation of the coxswain. WRRA will work with teams to assign approved coxswains for teams that would like a coxswain but do not have one lined up prior to the beginning of the season. This is contingent on coxswain availability.
