General Sweeps
General Sweeps (Buddy Boats)
The General Sweeps program allows rowers who wish to organize their own independent crews use of WRRA eight-person (8+) shells, oars, and cox boxes. General Sweeps membership does not include coaching. All rowers must register for the General Sweeps program to utilize general sweeps equipment.
General Sweeps Rules and Restrictions for Independent Crews:
All general sweep members must follow safety protocols as outlined in the CRF Safety Manual (SaM).
More than half of the rowers are required to be SQL certified or higher - CQL.
Regularly scheduled coached sweeps rowing programs, such as Masters Competitive & Intermediate, have equipment priority over independent use by General Sweeps rowers.
Equipment must be reserved using ICrew, subject to availability. Please contact Program director for full details on how to reserve a shell.
Crews must secure a coxswain and provide their own marine radio & lights.
